MMA and PRIDE veteran, Murilo ‘Ninja’, Rua is the newest fighter to join the Bad Boy club. While only holding a 17-10-1 record, Murilo is no one to be taken lightly. After a 5 year stint in PRIDE, and the last few years in different fighting promotions. He will be fighting in the U.S. under the promotion SHINE in 2010, and is now fighting in DREAM.

‘Introducing A New Face To Bad Boy’
Murilo ‘Ninja’ Rua is a veteran of the PRIDE Fighting Championships and he was the first Elite XC Middleweight Champion. He is well diversed in the martial arts of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Muay Thai.
Born and starting his career in Curitiba, Brazil, Murilo began his training at the legendary Chute Box Academy. The Chute Box Academy has created such champions as Wanderlei Silva and Bad Boy fighter Mauricio ‘Shogun’ Rua. When he started fighting, he began in the Meca World Vale Tudo, where he started his career off with an superb 5-0-1 record. From 2001 until 2006, he went to PRIDE, where he amassed a 6-7-0 record. Since leaving PRIDE, he has gone 5-3-0 in various organizations. He has beat the likes of fighters like Joey Villasenor, Mark Weir, and Tony Bonello.
Murilo is a very well rounded fighter. He has won 7 of his win by knockout and 8 of his wins by submission. The other two victories were by decision. It’s almost a guarantee that Murilo’s fights are going to get finished. He now trains at his and his brother’s academy, Universidade da Luta, in Curitiba, Brazil.
