Sautrday June 20th, 2009, Diego Sanchez, USA and Bad Boy Fighter, was sized up against, UK Fighter, Clay Guida. Sanchez won by split decision in the most excitied and powerful fights of the night.

‘Are you not entertained?’ The words rang out from Diego Sanchez after win Saturday, followed by an explosion of cheering. On June 20th, 2009, USA Fighter, Diego Sanchez was matched up against UK fighter, Clay Guide, in the Main Event of the season 9 finale of “The Ultimate Fighter” at the Palms in Las Vegas. Sanchez literally kicked off round one with a powerful roundhouse kick that sent him to the mat, after multiple blows that gave Guida quite a stir. They fighters didn’t let it stop there, a barrage of fists, knees and legs continued until the end of round one, and leaving audiences amazed that Guida’s head could take so much pounding. Made of stone? I think so! Guida showed his skills when things went to the mat in the second round. Sanchez attempted to finish things several times, but each time was stopped by Guida while he maintained the top position for most of the fight. Although, even on the mat Sanchez, was able to get some impressive blows in that sent blood pouring from Guida by the end of the round.
The final round was no less exciting than the first two, in fact if you missed the first two rounds, you got a taste of them both in round three. Sanchez kept controlled of the first half of the round before going to the mat where he was almost about to pull off a Kimura. They never gave up, slowed down, and the punches just kept rolling. The fight went to the judges for a decision, and in a split, Diego Sanchez emerged as the winner of this powerful and energized fight. |
