At the beginning of the fight it looked as if Fedor was going to own up the match due to a ferocious punch that laid Werdum out. As Fedor went in for the vicious ground-and-pound to seal his win, Fabricio did what he does best and snuck a triangle choke on Fedor. Within 10 to 15 secound, Fabricio was able to sink the choke in which forced Fedor to tap.
